Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about handcrafted jewelry from HAND-KUNST-WERK, including orders, custom-made pieces, pricing, payment, shipping, materials, gift vouchers and after-sales service.
How Can I Order an Item?As I am happy to accommodate individual requests, every inquiry and order is handled personally by me. For this reason, there is no traditional “Buy Now” button or shopping cart on this website.
You will find all important information about each piece of jewelry directly in the respective product description. If you have any further questions, you are always welcome to contact me. Using the direct link to the contact form, you can easily send me your order, inquiry or idea.
If you prefer an instant purchase option, you can also find selected pieces of jewelry in my Etsy Shop and eBAY Shop.

How Much Does a Handcrafted Piece of Jewelry Cost?All listed prices and offers already include the statutory German VAT of 19%.
For custom-made pieces, individual jewelry designs or special requests, you will receive a non-binding quote tailored to your ideas, the selected material and the craftsmanship involved.
Can I Have Jewelry Repaired or Altered?Yes. In my workshop, I also carry out professional jewelry repairs and alterations. This includes ring resizing, chain repairs, replacing clasps, soldering, polishing and restoring worn jewelry.
Depending on the piece, I can also reset gemstones, repair loose settings or professionally secure existing stone settings.
Each repair is assessed individually, as the material, condition, construction and gemstone setting determine which solution is both practical and durable. You will receive an honest assessment and a non-binding quote in advance.
This also means that older jewelry, heirlooms or favorite pieces can often be made wearable again, adjusted, professionally restored or enhanced with newly set gemstones.
How Can I Pay?After placing your order or commissioning a custom-made piece, you will receive an invoice with all relevant payment information.
Payment is made in advance and can be made in cash, by bank transfer or via PayPal. Additional payment methods are also available in my online shops.
How Long Does It Take to Make My Jewelry?For custom-made jewelry, the production time depends on the complexity of the piece, the selected material and my current workload.
Finished pieces and smaller repairs are usually ready for shipping or collection within a few days. For your individual order or inquiry, I will let you know the exact processing and delivery time in advance.
How Will My Jewelry Be Shipped?Your jewelry will be carefully packaged and shipped insured via DHL or UPS – within Germany and worldwide.
To ensure that your jewelry arrives safely and undamaged, it is securely packed and supplied in a suitable jewelry box. Upon request, the packaging can also be used directly as a gift.
Is There a Right of Withdrawal or Return?Information about the right of withdrawal, returns and custom-made items can be found on the Returns page.
Please note: Individually made or personalized pieces of jewelry are produced specifically according to your requirements. Special legal provisions apply to such custom-made items.
What After-Sales Service Do I Receive?I fully stand behind the quality of my work. That’s why my service does not end with the sale.
If you have a question later, if a piece of jewelry is damaged or needs an adjustment, we will find a quick and straightforward solution together – even if your purchase was made some time ago.
What Materials Are Used for the Jewelry?For my handcrafted jewelry, I use high-quality materials from trusted suppliers and partners in Germany and across Europe. I have been working with many of them for decades.
Depending on the piece and your preferences, a variety of precious metals and other materials are available, including silver, gold alloys, platinum, bronze, stainless steel and brass. Selected natural materials such as gemstones, pearls and wood can also be incorporated.
Each piece of jewelry is marked with the appropriate fineness mark, such as 925, 333, 375, 585, 750 or 900, together with my own GL maker’s mark.
Are Gift Vouchers Available for Custom Jewelry?Yes, I offer gift vouchers as a special gift idea.
A voucher can be used for finished jewelry as well as for a custom-made piece. This way, you are not simply giving jewelry, but the opportunity to have a personal piece created according to individual ideas.

Where Do the Ideas for My Jewelry Come From?Many of my ideas come from curiosity, a passion for craftsmanship, the desire to create something special and the individual requests of my customers.
Every piece of jewelry is personally designed and handcrafted by me. From the first sketch to the finished piece, many individual steps are often involved – from modeling, filing, soldering and grinding to polishing, stone setting and engraving.
Creating something by hand that may still be worn and admired many years or even generations from now is an essential part of true goldsmithing for me.
